Mobile reporters are journalists who produce, edit and upload content using a mobile telephone and internet. During the programme the trainees will receive a performance based monthly allowance.
Agnes and Neville have some experience in producing documentaries as part of a training programme that was offered to them by Slum Cinema, a NGO and partner of Voices of Africa Media Foundation in Kenya. Peris and Irene were trained to become a journalist.

www.voices-of-africa.com. For this site they also produced a short video to introduce themselves and to share their dreams and ambitions.
The Voices of Africa Media Foundation is a unique organization that provides young Africa reporters with the necessary equipment, training and financing, so that they can build and pursue a career. It does so by promoting the development of open media in Africa.
Agnes (19) and Neville (20) grew up in one of the many slums of Nairobi. Together with Peris(21) from Meru and Irene (23) from Nakuru they will participate for a six month training and practice programme] to become mobile reporters.
